What Separates SMS Marketing from Other Traditional Follow-ups?

Follow Up Boss focuses more on the follow up sales aspect rather than mass marketing texting campaigns. The reason why they focus on SMS is because messages are sent fast and easy to respond to. At the same time, it is easy to ignore if it is not relevant, compared to making a call.

In a month, they would send about 20 million texts back and forth. If you think about it, these are conversations people are having — a crazy number! People love texting and it has definitely taken off in the past years up to the present.

SMS Compliance Shift

10 years ago, SMS was a little bit of the wild west, because it was more for texting friends and family. Businesses as well as scammers weren’t really using SMS back then. But now, people are getting messages from unknown numbers which can most likely be a scam.

Most networks are aware that consumers don’t like it, so they developed programs that efficiently filter messages. They are also taking it from a legal standpoint and looking at how to find people who are abusing their networks.
